NEW: UK for UNHCR Food as Home

We are delighted to reveal our brand new category for 2026, UK for UNHCR Food as Home.

For many refugees, food builds both connection with their home country and a sense of feeling at home somewhere new.

We are seeking images that show the way in which food and eating can evoke or represent home for those who have been forced to flee, whether from violence, conflict or persecution.

 

Before entering this category, please note:

• • This category is open ONLY to entrants with a refugee background or who have experienced forced displacement, that is, a person who has been forced to leave their home and seek safety elsewhere.
  • Entry to the UK for UNHCR Food as Home categories is free of charge. A maximum of five entries may be submitted per Entrant.
  • Details submitted on entry may be used in the promotion of the World Food Photography Awards UK for UNHCR Food as Home category.
